How to use stigmi

Step-by-step guides covering everything from creating your first form to advanced payment collection, conditional logic, and analytics.

Creating Your First Form

Free — all plans

stigmi forms are conversational — respondents see one question at a time, just like a real conversation. Here's how to build your first form from scratch.

1

Create an account

Go to stigmi.app/register and sign up with your email. No credit card required.
2

Click 'New Form' from your dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on your dashboard. Click the + New Form button in the top-right corner.
3

Give your form a name

Enter a name for your form (e.g. "Customer Feedback Survey"). This is only visible to you — respondents won't see it.
4

Add your first question

Click + Add Question in the form builder. Choose a question type from the panel on the right (e.g. Short Text, Multiple Choice, Rating). Type your question text in the field provided.
5

Reorder and configure questions

Drag questions up or down to reorder them. Click any question to edit its settings — add a description, mark it required, or configure options for choice questions.
6

Set a cover image (optional)

Upload a cover image to make your form visually engaging. Recommended size: 1200×630px.
7

Activate and share

When ready, toggle the form status to Active using the toggle in the top bar. Your public form link will appear — share it with respondents.

Press Enter to advance through questions in the live form. Respondents can also press Backspace to go back, or swipe on mobile.

Sharing Your Form

Free — all plans

Once your form is active, there are several ways to share it with respondents.

1Public Link

Every form gets a unique public URL: stigmi.app/f/your-slug. Copy it from the form editor (top bar) or the form settings page. Share it via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or social media. Respondents don't need a stigmi account to fill it in.

2Embed on Your Website (Pro)

Pro plan users can embed forms directly on their website using an iframe or popup widget. Go to Form Settings → Share → Embed Code to get the snippet.

<iframe src="https://stigmi.app/f/your-slug" width="100%" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe>

3Custom Slug (Pro)

By default, your form URL includes a random slug. Pro users can set a custom slug — for example, stigmi.app/f/my-event-registration. Go to Form Settings → General → Custom Slug.

4Schedule Availability (Pro)

Set a date range during which your form accepts responses. Useful for time-limited surveys, event registrations, or limited-time offers. Configure in Form Settings → Scheduling.

To deactivate a form (stop accepting responses), toggle the status to Inactive in the form editor. The public link will show a "form closed" message to respondents.

Viewing Responses

Free — all plans

Every response is stored and accessible from your dashboard. Here's how to view, filter, and export them.

1

Open the Responses tab

From your dashboard, click on a form card. Then click the Responses tab (or navigate to /forms/[id]/responses).
2

Browse individual responses

Each row is a full response submission. Click any row to expand and see all answers for that respondent, including metadata like submission time and IP country.
3

Add annotations (Pro+)

Pro+ users can add private notes to individual responses — useful for tagging leads, flagging follow-ups, or marking status (e.g. "contacted", "converted").
4

Export to CSV (Pro)

Click the Export CSV button to download all responses as a spreadsheet. Available to Pro and Pro+ plan users.

What's captured in every response

  • All question answers (in submission order)
  • Submission timestamp
  • Time taken to complete the form
  • Device type (mobile / desktop)
  • Country (from IP, not stored persistently)
  • Payment status (if Payment question used)

Email Notifications

Free — all plans

Get notified by email every time someone submits your form. Notifications are sent to the email address on your stigmi account.

1

Enable notifications

Go to Form Settings → Notifications. Toggle on Email me on new submission.
2

Customize the notification email

You can set a custom subject line and choose which fields to include in the notification body. By default, all answers are included.
3

Respondent confirmation emails (coming soon)

Auto-reply emails to respondents after submission are on the roadmap. For now, use the Ending screen to show a custom thank-you message.

If you're not receiving emails, check your spam folder. Add noreply@int2root.com to your contacts to ensure delivery.

Using Templates

Free — all plans

Templates are pre-built forms for common use cases. Start from a template and customize it instead of building from scratch.

1

Browse the template gallery

Go to stigmi.app/templates to browse all available templates. Categories include feedback surveys, job applications, event registrations, lead generation, order forms, quizzes, and more.
2

Preview a template

Click any template card to see a live preview of how it looks to respondents. You can interact with the preview form without creating an account.
3

Use the template

Click Use this template. If you're not logged in, you'll be asked to create a free account. The template will be copied into your dashboard as a new form.
4

Customize it

All questions, settings, and branding are fully editable. Change the wording, add or remove questions, update colors — make it your own.

Conditional Logic

Pro

Conditional logic makes your forms smart — skip irrelevant questions, jump to different sections, or show a custom ending based on how respondents answer.

1

Open the Logic tab

In the form builder, click the Logic tab (top of the editor). This opens the logic rule builder.
2

Create a rule

Click + Add Rule. A rule has three parts:
  • Condition: which question triggers the rule (e.g. "Question 2 is Multiple Choice")
  • Value: the specific answer that triggers it (e.g. "Option A")
  • Action: what happens (e.g. "Jump to Question 5" or "Show ending: Thank You")
3

Test your logic

Use the Preview button to test your form as a respondent. Try different answer combinations to make sure the logic works as expected.

Common logic use cases

Skip logic: If Q1 = "No interest", jump to the end

Branching: If job role = "Engineer", show technical questions; if "Manager", show budget questions

Conditional endings: Show a "Qualified" screen for high NPS scores, "Improvement needed" for low scores

Payment gates: Only ask for payment if the user selects a paid tier

Logic rules are evaluated in order. If multiple rules match, the first matching rule wins. Drag rules to reorder them.

Analytics & Insights

Pro

The Analytics tab shows you exactly where respondents drop off, how long they spend on each question, and your overall completion rate.

1

Open Analytics

In the form editor, click the Analytics tab. Or navigate to /forms/[id]/analytics.
2

Review the completion funnel

The funnel chart shows how many respondents reached each question and how many dropped off. High drop-off at a specific question suggests it may be too long, confusing, or sensitive.
3

Check average completion time

See how long respondents take on average. If your form takes over 3 minutes, consider trimming questions or splitting into multiple forms.
4

View NPS breakdown (if applicable)

If your form includes an NPS question, the analytics page shows Promoter / Passive / Detractor breakdown and your overall NPS score.

Completion rate

Drop-off by question

Avg. time to complete

Average seconds per question and total

Custom Branding

Pro (badge removal) · Pro+ (custom CSS)

Make your forms look like they belong to your brand — not stigmi's.

Remove stigmi badge (Pro)

Free forms show a small "Built with stigmi" badge at the bottom of the public form. Pro plan users can remove this badge in Form Settings → Branding → Hide stigmi badge.

Cover image & accent colour

All plans can upload a cover image and set an accent color for buttons and progress bars. Go to Form Settings → Design. The accent color affects the "OK" button, progress bar, and choice highlights.

Custom CSS (Pro+)

Pro+ users can inject custom CSS into their form's public page for full visual control — change fonts, backgrounds, button styles, and more. Go to Form Settings → Design → Custom CSS.

/* Example: Change the font and background */ .stigmi-form { font-family: 'Georgia', serif; background: #f8f4f0; } .stigmi-btn-primary { background: #e63946; border-radius: 4px; }

A/B Testing (Pro)

Test two versions of your form to see which gets higher completion rates. Enable A/B testing in Form Settings → A/B Test, then duplicate the form and make changes to version B. stigmi will split traffic 50/50 and report results in Analytics.

Collecting Payments

Pro+

stigmi has native Razorpay integration. Add a Payment question to your form to collect UPI payments, card payments, net banking, and wallet transactions — all inside the form, without redirecting respondents to a separate checkout page.

1

Upgrade to Pro+

Payment collection requires a Pro+ subscription. Upgrade here.
2

Add a Payment question

In the form builder, click + Add Question and select Payment (₹) from the question type panel.
3

Configure the amount

Choose between:
  • Fixed amount: Set a specific amount in INR (e.g. ₹499 for event registration)
  • Custom amount: Let respondents enter their own amount (e.g. for donations)
4

Add a payment label

Add a label that describes what the payment is for (e.g. "Workshop Registration Fee"). This appears in the Razorpay checkout popup.
5

Test the payment flow

In the form builder, use the Preview button to test. In preview mode, payments are not charged. Use your live form link to test with a real ₹1 transaction before sharing widely.
6

View payment status in responses

Each response shows the payment status: Pending, Paid, or Failed. Payment ID and order ID are stored with the response.

Supported payment methods

UPI
Credit / Debit Card
Net Banking
Wallets (Paytm, etc.)

Payments go directly to your connected Razorpay account. stigmi does not hold funds. Make sure your Razorpay account is verified and activated before using Payment questions on live forms.

API & Developer Tools

Pro+

Pro+ users get access to a REST API, MCP server, and webhook integrations to connect stigmi with your own tools and workflows.

REST API

The stigmi API lets you programmatically create forms, manage questions, read responses, and more. Authenticate with a Bearer token from API Tokens.

curl https://stigmi.app/api/forms \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"

Full API documentation: stigmi.app/api-docs

Creating an API Token

1

Go to API Tokens

Navigate to stigmi.app/tokens (requires Pro+ plan).
2

Create a new token

Click + New Token, give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Zapier Integration"), and click Create.
3

Copy and save the token

The token is shown only once. Copy it immediately and store it in a password manager or environment variable. Never commit tokens to source code.
4

Use the token in API requests

Include it as a Bearer token in the Authorization header of every API request.

MCP Server (AI integrations)

stigmi has a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI agents like Claude Desktop manage your forms. It exposes 58+ tools across 16 categories — create forms, read responses, set logic rules, manage endings, and more.
